if they follow standard wiring the black wire should be a ground if you were using a switch with a light in it...and red is prolly coming from battery and white is going to lights but just take a test light with the ignition on and see which has juice to it...theres ur hot....i think that should help ya if im right on this been a while since i messed with wiring
