So, he's from the St. Benedictine order? That's what they've been claiming for some time now... The only hint at this new Pope is "Gloria Olivae", or Glory of the Olive...

After that, Peter of the Romans is supposed to show up, protect and lead the chuch through it's near destruction, and then God's gonna come down and judge everyone. And, fittingly, the prophecy ends with "The End".



Unfortunately, while this prophecy was supposedly written around 1140 AD, it didn't show up until 1595, curiously a time when different sects of the church were vying for power and the group that "found" it used it to reinforce their candidate's "campaign". Curiously, outside of this document itself, there are no direct references to it existing before 1590, even in the Vatican library...



***edit: looks like he took the name "Benedict XVI", which is running parallel to the prophecy... Ooops... I guess the world's gonna end soon h:
