I was told that the P72 can be tuned upon completion. Am I operating on false perceptions? The 190 lph pump was supposed to flow freely and the fuel pressure regulator was supposed to allow the 310cc injectors to operate at a resonable duty cycle %. The 11 to 1 compression allows any fuel type and reduces the sidewall pressure from the lousy stroke ratio of the LS crank?
I know that 12 to 1 is stretching the compression limit for using reg gasoline.
So I want to stay away from that limit. What is the real deal ?
I am not looking for another block. I know this block has good sleeves and no cracks.
I will look for the aftermarket pistons mentioned by the good posters and couple them with my eagle H rods. OK, I'll go to 11.23 to 1 ?? HAhaHA.

12:1 can be run fine you just need to get more fuel into the engine.... doesnt the s2k have like 12:1 compression out of the box?
