Default Stereo fried?

Hey everyone, I have a cheap 6 year old JVC stereo in my 90 Honda Civic, and just last night it stopped working.. I was driving, and all of the sudden all the sound cut out, but the lights were still working on the stereo, and it was acting like it was still playing.. Just no sound at all out of the speakers.. Not even a little static. When this happened all the lights on my dash went out at the same time.. So when I got home, and checked my fuses, sure enough I had a bad fuse. I replaced it and all my dash lights came back like normal. But I still have the same problem with the stereo. I went ahead and disconnected everything from the stereo, and then just hooked up the wires for the power, ground, and the + and - wires for my right front speakers. Then I swapped it out for a known good speaker, and still nothing. So I'm assuming it has to do with the stereo and not the speakers. Does it sound like I just fried my stereo? Or could it be something else? Thanks.
