I know this is getting off the subject but I understand exactly what you guys are saying about collecting the info and helping out with "what happened to me advice". That's why I gave the advice I did. I have owned my 89 civic since it was shipped to me in Germany and she's got alot of miles racked on her. I have done most of my own mechanical work on her but the biggest stump I ever got was the converter problem I had back in March. I used this forum to try to get ideas on what could be the problem but all I got was worst case senarios and such. We can all learn from what happened to each auto problem we have had and sharing that info is good so we can help others who may have the same problems. I hope I have not offended anyone by talking about "shadetree" mechanics. Perhaps a better term would have been wrenchless mechanics? Anyway, I hope that whatever the problems people have with their Hondas, they will follow up and let us in on what the solution really was so we all have a better understanding of our own cars.
