So everyone knows I've been trying to sell my 1989 Civic Si for the past 2-3 months. Finally got what seemed to be a pretty good buyer.
Called me up last week and he was coming from Norristown. He said he had a 1989 CRX Si that needed some parts and saw my ad in Autotrader. Said he needed to go to the bank to get a loan. I was like ok
Called me up on Monday said he got a loan for $1000. This is where is started going downhill. Said if he gave me the $1000 would he be able to take the car home and give me the other $1000 at the end of the month because he needed the engine and other parts to get his CRX running.
Ummmm no. I said I would let him drive home with it if he gave me the $2000 on the spot, but I would gladly hold onto the car for him in leiu of the $1000. And whenever he got the other $1000 I would give him the title.
So he says I'll be there (today) between 12-1pm. So today I run my errands and notice it's 12pm so I run back home. I'm waiting and waiting and waiting. It's 1:30pm. I call the number he gave me. It's his house number which means he didn't even leave.
I'm like "where are you?"
"oh I couldnt get the other $1000"
"Are you still coming out?"
"No"
"WELL IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO CALL ME YOU KNOW!"
"Sorry"
I slam the phone down and my wife looks at me like "Uh Oh". Fricking people!
