When I was faced with the decision between coilover sleeves and true, threaded body coilover dampers, I went with the latter because I was concerned about matching the spring rates to the shocks.
With all the various makers of coilover sleeves, IMO it's easy to wind up with really stiff springs that may or may not match the damping strength of the shocks they are used with. Hence the "boing" comment...
And I admit to being overly skeptical about product quality.

I did not know that OmniPower made threaded body coilovers. If they've done their homework and matched the springs to the dampers, then that's great.
