The place I take my car too here said that they change out the water pump and timing belt at the same time because if the water pump were to go with a new timing belt I would have to buy another timing belt. I suggest you get it changed along with the pump. Dont skimp on the timing belt. It it breaks you are in trouble...

My shop qouted me 1K for the work. I feel it is worth it. It is a small family owned Foriegn Car shop that a lot of car dealerships used around town if they take a Foriegn car in on trade. ( If you can beleive that someone would actually trade in thier Foriegn car for a Domestic )
