Would you like me to post videos? I'm not to be a penis waver or anything... it's just because I don't want some 11-second Viper owner telling you his car is stock and expecting you to believe him... To run a low-mid-11 second pass, a Viper-weight RWD car (17% drivetrain loss) would have to produce over 680hp at the crank, and they just don't. They're around 500 at the crank... and only about 410 of it hits the pavement. They weigh 3383lbs without a driver. Some trim levels are only 3230. You can go to http://www.dsm.org/tools/calchp.htm and run that math if you want.

If you want to verify that calculation's accuracy, my 3355lb DSM (with me in it and 1/8 tank of gas) runs the 1/4 in 12.67 at 108mph. I dynoed it 2 weeks ago and it's making 324 awhp (25% drivetrain loss). If those numbers line up, tell me what a 500hp ( - 17% drivetrain loss = 415hp) 3383lb Viper + a 180lb driver runs. A Viper's trap speed will be maybe 7mph faster than mine. You'll be surprised at the results.

Even an 11.99 second Viper is nowhere near stock. They're not geared to get up and go from a stop. They're geared to run through 6th gear like it's 3rd and capable of hitting over 200mph. You can't have it all. I'm sure that the way they're geared will cause more than 17% loss, but I'm being modest because 17% is a general calculation for FR drag cars. Viper gears are uber-tall.
