My Azenis RT-215s have lasted well over 1 1/2 years with more than 40 autocrosses on the current set I have. Still has about 3mm of tread depth left. So now these are my rain tires while I wait for the RT-615s to arrive.

As long as you have proper toe (I recommend 0 front and back) the tires will last a long time. Also 225/50x15" is going to kill your gearing. Your car is going to accelerate like a slug. The right size would be 225/45x15".
Yea, about the azenis, I'm starting to reconsider. No final decisions have been made yet. After searching around HAN it seems that the Ziex's are good all seasons - but I really want some nice summer tires. Otherwise I'd just be stuck with two sets of all season tires with one for each season - inefficient I'd say.

But on the subject of tire sizes, I must ask you to reconsider. Prelude's stock tires are 205/50-16 and going to 225/50-15 would actually maintain very similar ratios, perhaps even shorten the gears a bit.

Code:
Tire Size Comparison

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
205/50-16 4.0in 12.0in 24.1in 75.6in 838 0.0%
225/50-15 4.4in 11.9in 23.9in 75.0in 845 -0.9%

When your spedo reads 60mph, you are actually traveling 59.5 mph
That's from an online tire size calculator at http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Although 225/45-15 would indeed shorten those gears even more, I think I'll stay closer to my stock ratios.

I hope I'm not missin' somthing here.
