An Irish Water Spaniel is actually a cross between a poodle, an afghan hound and an English field spaniel bred around the 1800's.

He's a very mellow puppy. So far... He likes to lay in my lap and give lots of kisses. He's passed out on the floor right now next to my chair.
He's had a long day and he had to leave all his brothers and sisters today, so he's a little lonesome.
