I can see not getting pulled over because usually they won't just go for lighting (unless its a tail/brake light). you usually have to be doing something else for them to give you shit.

as for getting highbeamed, I don't know whats wrong with the people in NJ. I was getting highbeamed like every other day. with OEM bulbs. :dunno:

So I show him a pic of my car with the inner housing circled and this is what he says:

The CTR's pictured DO NOT HAVE A BULB IN THEM

WTF is he talking about?
he's full of shit, or doesn't know what he's talking about.

or both.

I'd post pics, but I don't have a good picture of the CTRs head-on on my hard drive, and I don't feel like looking online hfawk:

basically, the part the USDM lights has is a reflector that beams the light back to the main reflecting area, which reflects it onto the road. The CTRs are totally different because the main reflecting area is not as smooth as the USDM counterpart. Also, its missing the reflector that covers the bulb. If you're running HIDs, that bulb will be VERY bright. Which goes with my shock about OCs car.

But then again, there's things to consider, like how much driving do you do at night, how often do you drive in busy areas, how are the lights angled, etc.

personally, I've all but given up on HIDs in this car. I'll do it after I get a fast motor :db:
