Hey guys, i believe i've figured out my problem!!!

while my i tore my turbo apart i noticed that the "Thrust Bearing" was cracked in half & out of place. I have no idea why or how it got cracked but it is. I have learned that other than "shaft play" which i have NONE of, there is another type of play called "END Play" which i do currently have due to the broken & out of place thrust bearing. End play is when the components on the shaft are able to slide up & down the shaft freely, this should not happen at all. The Thrust Bearing's job is to basicly be a non-moving spacer that pushes all the end parts of the turbo that are rung around the shaft up against the compressor housing. When "End Play" is present it will allow oil to blow back through the intake tract and cause detonation or massive amounts of smoke. (i have massive amounts of smoke!)

Replacment Thrust bearings are about 10-15 bucks & are avaliable in a rebuild kit or on ebay seperately.

I hope this info helps someone else out, as i've struggled with this problem for about 2 weeks now! haha
