Exactly. Once thread is sold of it's products, it should be closed and there should also be an option to not search closed threads. (dunno if the 2nd is already there or not, i rarely search

Having multiple sections and bumping the thread all the time only gets people who just window shop on the front page. If you know what you want, search.
