Depends on your budget and long term goals in life and with the car. I have had my 93' Coupe for almost 12 years and as far as I'm concerned I will never sell it because I will never get what I think it's worth. I love my coupe. But do I recommend dumping over $20,000.00 into a civic? It depends. I could have just about any new car under $50,000.00 I wanted but just when I start thinking that way something reminds me why I love my coupe so much. I am the good driver of my group of friends yet last night I was only able to muster a 14.1 in my cousins new EVO MR with over 20psi dialed in with a MBC. But after several runs I realized that it just is not a car that I am comfortable driving. I could not launch the damn thing. This is my cousins second EVO and he has yet to run faster than a 13.8 sec 1/4 mile in either car and he drives it everyday. Yet, he had a blown 02' RSX that ran low 13's all day. I know if I drove it everyday things might change and I love the EVO and know it is a great car to tune, is really fast but it just does not fit me. On the other hand later that night I was able to muster a 14.2 out of my best friends stock (STI wing, scoop, and intercooler but that's it) WRX which is damn good for stock WRX. The WRX just felt right and I had no problem launching it down the track. I watched countless STI's and EVO's slam down high 12's and low 13's and at the end of the night I thought I had convinced myself that I wanted a WRX. But.... then here comes a blue 5th gen coupe and it runs two back to back 11.4 sec 1/4 miles runs. I never thought of an EVO or a WRX for the rest of the night. Every year I say I'm gonna sell my CRX and my coupe and buy a truly complete weekend car but yet last year I bought a used Protege ES 2.0 to make my 110 mile a day drive to work and back. Just really follow your heart man. my cousin has his second EVO and all he has had is dissapointment. He really thought trading in his regular EVO for a MR was the answer yet he is still getting beat my stock WRX's with 70 less HP. Just because you buy a fast car does not mean you are going to be satisfied. A swap might be the answer and it might not. Swaps can be a nightmare if you are not a mechanic. I have pulled my motor out more times than I know. It's a constant thing. Getting a new car gives you a fresh start. I have been replacing bushings, brake lines, interior pieces, rubber molding, window motors, and shit like that for the last coupel of years. Just when I get the car right soemthing else comes up. BUt that's to be expected of a car that has 250k on it. I would say get a new car unless you are really into racing. I do everything 100%. No way in hell would I drive a slow civic. I have a fast civic just to prove a point. I still get smirks at the drag stirp from newbies but that's what I love, being the percieved under dog. Then when I see a regular joe running low elevens spinning all through secind gear it reminds me of what I love about fast fours.
