hey guys, thanks for your help. I got it off, no problem. The socket size is 32mm for the front in case somebody wants to know down the road. Also, be careful not to pull and push on the CV axle when you are replacing it. You can damage the bearings inside the housing, like I did, and have to take it back and get another one. I reccomend sticking the spindle inside the hub first. Then, have someone lay under the car and line up the splines for the housing, then using a block of wood hit the hub with a hammer until the housing is seated properly. Also, sticking a crowbar in the lower control arm and prying down lets you move the steering knuckle and pop the ball joint out , which lets you lower and pivot the hub so you can remove the axle. When you have enough clearance/motion to knock it forward, get a hammer and a 1/2 inch extension, and just keep tapping the bell housing until it comes out.
