I don't think it is anything out of the ordinary. The transmission will downshift at low RPMs and make it as subtle as possible to smoothen ride quality. I have noticed this with several Honda auto trannies and it shouldn't be jerky. As long as there is no slippage or rough engagement, there is really nothing to worry about.

And Honda auto trannies are pretty weak. They come no where near the strength of their manual trannies and fail often.
