Two points:
1) I said you don't need a cylinder head temperature gauge. I already said that's different from a general coolant temperature gauge.
2) You don't need an aftermarket coolant temp gauge. It's definately nice to have, but you won't die without an aftermarket one if the stock one is functioning properly.
