a P2P is the ECU from a 96-98 Civic EX (Vtec engine) I dont know if 99-00 civics came with the same ECU which I dont think because 99-00 civics are OBD2b ....anyways u have to change ur ECU because urs is not programmed for VTEC

if u do this ur compression will be like in the 13's and ur gonna have to run race gas and there will be no gas pump for u... so stick with ur pistons or if u wanna change them u better buy a complete engine with Vtec...
and if money is not a problem just get a B16B Civic Type R engine and have it installed by a mechanic or just import a real type R.... thats just my .02
