OBD2 requires that the connector be near the drivers side somewhere, usually, just below the dash near the steering column. Here is an example of a car side of the OBD2 connector:



In my 97 civic EX, the connector is pointed down and to the side at the top of the driver front kick panel.

Check out http://www.cardlabs.com/CardLabs_obd2.htm for some OBD2 info.

Your car should have it... what country are you in? I use a www.scangauge.com device plugged to my OBD2 as I drive around. I love the info.
