Also, if you swap in a Z6 motor, I am guessing its going to have fewer miles than your motor has. oposed to just swaping the head, you are going to get more out of a total engine swap, for the same price of a head swap.
z6 is the 5th gen ex. y8/y7/y5 are all 6th gen engines...
and other than vtec, intake/exhaust manifolds and a few minor things, there's little to no difference between the y7 and y8, so the head swap would be just fine.
