I work at a shop here in florida its not hard to import a car and make it street leagal you have to pass emissions, the windows have to be changed to shatter proof glass, and you have to register the car in the USA. the city will give you all the approiate papperwork you fill it out make the changes to the car and have it inspected by a Police officer. part of the inspection may be a road test of some sort but normaly they just look for sound level on the exauhst ( att least here) and the appropriate colered side markers (turn signals , brake lights ect.) before the inspect the city will give you a temp regist. so you can get it insured and tagged you have to show that when you have the cop inspect your car. other than that i think its about all.
