The reason for this is because it's so close to the screen. Instead of the mechanism being directly under the button like all the others, the square button actuates an arm which then actuates the mechanism.
in my experience to make everything mesh you should use the same mechanism for every button, that way they dont feel off.
of course that means more stuff to break, but if it's gunna break, it's gunna break
