so you'd pay an extra 8-15 grand to drive a car that was built by people in osaka instead of indiana, using many of the exact same parts?

And no kidding, driving any imported car would be expensive for any kind of repair. I'd assume anyone willing to fork out the cash for a jdm rarity would have taken that into consideration.
