Ok,
92 Si, 95 b18b1 swap.
Recently changed my timing belt, water pump, tensioner, and tensioner spring.
Before changing the timing belt it ran good without these symptoms.
Now it runs "ok", kind of lacking in the power though, seems just a little sluggish. When I start it up cold, it has a small small misfire, and then as it warms up the misfire goes away, until it is fully warm. Once fully warm the misfire comes back at idle. Its not a bad misfire, but noticable. It will misfire revving in neutral up to 3k rpm, but after that it seems to even out if you hold the throttle steady.
I am 90% sure that the timing belt is on correctly and the teeth are all correct. I set my timing with a timing gun and its at 16 degress BTDC. I figured that since the timing is right according to the timing light, that I can't be off by a tooth. Am I wrong to assume this?
What else could cause my engine to be lacking in power and misfire?
Keep in mind, I still am getting 33mpg on the freeway, and have driven about 300 miles with it like this. I can't figure out what is wrong.
Any ideas? I need to figure out what is causing the problem. I'm about to just bust out the money and do a full tune up in case it is something completely unrelated. Maybe a ground or something.
I need any and all opinions. Got a date tonight and want to have it fixed
Thanks
