$800 extra bones for golden eagle to build the block saved me a lot of time. Plus I don't have to worry about any errors with them doing it, not that I couldn't. I rebuild engines every week bro at automotive tech class so it's not that I was afraid to but the car had already been down 8 months because of the cost to go all motor. Most can't even do a valve job let alone put a motor back together. I pulled it in my garage, disassembled it, had it bullet proofed, and put it back together and dropped it back in. So you're telling me that on my forged 11.5 to 1 Je pistons I could run 25 to 30 psi since it's been ductile sleeved? I'm not quite seeing it but then again you may have AEM EMS which possibly could allow ignition and fuel maps that wouldn't create any level of detonation. You got dual stage vtec on your MR2? Got any fuel or dyno maps of that MR2? That kind of psi should put you into the 10's with that car!
