I wouldn't do a clutch yourself. You need axle pullers and you may need to take of the entire wheel, ie. disk, caliper, etc., assembly in order to get the axles out. The car needs to be in the air and you would need a tranny lift to do anything right. Preludes happen to be a bitch when putting new clutches in. I know. I just had my dad put one in for me, and i watched most of the process.

As for price, 550-650 is the average. 900 is way too much in my opinion, no matter year, make, model or trim. If ATTS is major, then maybe it should have been 800, but your brother-in-law got ripped.
