I don't think the code was relayed to the previous owner, and it doesn't seem to appear on the receipt. Is there any way to read out the code without a scan tool?

That brings up a good question - I'm considering the purchase of an OBD-II scan interface to connect to my laptop. Does the 95 Accord work with OBD-II (I seem to remember reading that OBD-II was "officially" adopted in the industry in 96). Also, the OBD-II literature I've read leads me to believe that Honda is compatible with the "Chrysler" OBD-II system protocols. True? I'd like to be sure I'm buying the right thing. BTW, I also own a 2002 Odyssey, so I'd naturally prefer if the interface would work with that vehicle as well.

Thanks,
Lou
