Default SRS light on '95 Honda Accord EX-V6

Hello all,
I'm new to this forum, would appreciate some input. I'm pretty handy with wrenches, I tackle everything myself short of engine and transmission rebuilds. So, I'm not afraid of the SRS light!

Actions taken thus far to extinguish light (by former owner, a co-worker):
1) 11/04 - taken to dealer who "reset" the SRS light. Stayed out a couple weeks.
2) 12/04 - dealer replaced vehicle battery. Said if that didn't do it, new "SRS control module" would be required at cost of $860 (plus tax!).
3) SRS stayed out for about six weeks - until I bought the car, now it's on again (2/05). I disconnected vehicle battery for a couple of hrs, put safety connectors on both airbags, then re-connected everything. SRS light still on solid.

Questions:
Does forum agree with dealer diagonisis of SRS control module?
Can anyone speculate on parts cost for this module?
How difficult is it to swap out?

Thanks,
Lou
