if you are building it from the ground up i'd say go with one of the contracters proven floorplans.

i hate working in houses that are custom tailored because you homeowners cant make up your minds about ANYTHING.... just a fair warning, if you want your house to coem out right, figure out EXACTLY what you want...

PS. stainless is overated, it is just waiting to get scratched and be marked up by fingerprints, TMHO... stick with somthing you can panel to match the cabinets...
