Default Which Tranny is best for my car??

Ok, first off i'm new in here so thanx 2 any1 who helps me.
Now my problem is i have a 1994 civic vti uk car Hatch back (b16a2 160bhp engine)
and when i change into 3rd when i'm ragging it, it grinds, its been doing it for bout 6mnths and its got alot worse, i know its the syncros and do not want 2 put new 1's in my tranny instead im just gonna put a new tranny in. Heres wer my dilema starts, I want an lsd which my car doesnt come with, i was going to put the integra type R tranny in which comes with a lsd but then thers lots more questions i have on that, like.....

1.which tranny has shorter ratios the civic vti 1 or the integra 1?? and by how much?? i'm running 175bhp proven and aim to do cams and chip nxt so i want resonably long ratios, is this right or should i want short ratios? i do want a reasonable cruzing gear (for freeways)

2. In the uk (not sure about other markets US etc) they do an estate 1.8vti and a 5door hatch 1.8vti which from 1998> had a lsd and the same ratios as the 1.6vti,i know they do have lsd's but do they have the same ratios 4 sure?? they are both B series engines so i wud imagine the trannys bolt on!?

3.Will i need to change drive shafts etc 2 componsate for wider/longer tranny?

4.lastly, would i get a clutch for the integra engine or for the civic engine? i would think the civic engine coz the clutch bolts to the flywheel.

Thanx for any help any1 can give me!!! Laters Ste
