I've got 2 signs on both doors to my office saying to "Call the Helpdesk for ANY computer/network issues" , and "Do not knock on this door unless you have a trouble ticket in place. No exceptions will be made."

Now...if you walked up to the door and have yet to call the Helpdesk, would you knock on my door and ask me something that could easily be answered by the Helpdesk?!

Being that I work offsite from other IT'ers I need a trouble ticket for any work that I do so they can see my workload. I do soooooooooo much everyday from people just walking up to me while I'm around the building and they get pissed when I ask them "Can you put in a ticket?". They are like "for what, you're right here!" They don't see that there may be 50 tickets in front of theirs. They don't see that in the middle of doing 50 other things, I'll forget if it's not logged to me.
