I got one on my car and I think it's straight. I had a regular CAI for 2 years w/o a bypass untill I hydrolocked my engine. After I got my car back I put the same intake on again and in 2 weeks, I locked up again. while my car was in the shop gettin it's 3rd motor, I saw this FMI so I got it. I keep the cover over the filter on at all time to keep foreign objects out and so far, so good. I check the pipe inside where 2 ends meet after a drive in the hard rain once it was bone dry. And when I first got it, I wanted to see if it had at least some benifits of being mounted in the front like that so I assembled it and sat it in my garage with my leaf blower blowing at max 6 meet from the filter and there was a plenty of air being pushed out the other end, way more than if it was just a regular CAI. And another cool thing that I found out is when I drove home from work, which is a 30 minute drive, in 20 degree weather, the intake manifold was still cold. Not hot, not warm, not cool, but cold. I know my CAI never did that. And as for looks, if anyone were to mistake that for a turbo intercooler, then they're ignorant. Yeah it's in the same place as an intercooler but honestly, does it look that much as one? I'll get some pics of my whip soon. I'm new here... peace
