adjacent doesn't mean one could not see the activities in the next room. adjacent means adjoining/next to. Just like I can sit in my room but still see someone cooking in the kitchen. She could have sat there in one room watching him die in the next. Assumption, sure, but based on the way the crime was perpetrated I think it's a valid enough one.

Tobra - I highly doubt she'd walk, based on the nature of the crime. If it was a crime of fear, she'd have found a more humane way or even quick way to kill the guy. This seems to me like a cold premeditated murder. If you can get life in prison for 1/2 gram of meth on a 3rd strike, I think they'd sentence this broad to at least the minimum sentence of a manslaughter charge.
