It depends on geography. Eastern part would be more interesting because there are lots of JDM cars. It is almost the same number of them as domestic and away more than European. There are so many of JDM cars so there is a joke that government should change road directions on opposite. Toyotas are more popular for some reason. People think that they cheaper in service and repair than Hondas and maybe it is true. Also for some reason Honda models cost more than Toyota. The variety of JDM models is huge but all of them based on one platform. For example, there are about 4-5 models based on civic and 3-4 on accord. It’s hard to find bare modification of JDM car. They come all packed. For example, air ionization (starting from mid 90's), all away around distance sensors (from 91-93), speed projection on windshield (from 1990), programmable seats (beginning of 90's) etc. Also engines are more efficient. Example, Toyota Mark II 1993 model had 3.0L engine with 220 hp. It was 12 years ago!!!
In European part of Russia the number of JDM cars is smaller. There are more domestic and European cars. In average European cars equipment is not that rich and exotic as for JDM models.
It’s a brief description of how car scene looks out there.
