I'd like to thank you for your input, but it's clear that you didn't read the question.
Three things...
1. This car doesn't have a CX engine in it anymore. It's a 16 valve DX engine. 104hp, not 70hp. Freshly built, not a used swap.
2. Everything for the engine, ECU, emissions, intake and exhaust have been swapped to convert it to a DX, except it's still 300lbs lighter because it's a CX w/o any options or power steering.
3. A Honda VX gauge cluster and Acura Integra seats don't qualify as aftermarket parts.
4. The stereo stuff, I'm not particularly attached to. It's a billion times better than stock Honda am/fm/tape deck and 2 blown door speakers it came with.
5. Aside from the stereo, the only aftermarket part on the car is the intake. It's a $34 ebay intake, and it's rather nice actually. I had to do something because CX intakes don't fit DX throttle bodies, and it allowed me to use this engine.
...oh darn, that's 5 things.
This car's just NOT a neglected, non-running or slow CX POS. It will tie a EX coupe with bolt-ons in the 1/4 mile. It won't require any major service for another 75,000 miles because everything's been replaced already with warrantied new or remanufactured parts. I take care of my ****.
But to defend what you said, those parts aren't what it came with. So technically even if they ARE stock honda parts, the car's NOT stock anymore. I know my blood sweat and beers over this car are worthless as far as resale is concerned, but everything I did to it has been an improvement from what it came with out-of-the-box. If I sell it for book, someone's getting a hell of a deal.
