Default Finding horsepower

Cleaning the plugs, contanct points, and rotor = back to normal. Must've been losing 20hp. The rotor has crusty shit all over it. All the low end torque has been restored. :fawk: Fixed the endless surging too, turned out the air valve thing wasn't screwed into its housing so it could move around erratically.

I thought it was odd that I had to give it WOT under 4000 rpms to move and the exhaust was dirtaaaay and smelly. It sounded a lot different after I did it too. I'm thinking this is only a temporary fix and I should actually buy new parts, right? I think it may already be feeling a little slower already but I can't be sure until I drive it a couple more days. The top end pull still doesn't feel right. Could part of it be that my plug wires have cracks and I just electrical taped them? Also the plugs were pretty dirty for only 5000 miles. Could it have been the surging or lack of spark or being wide open at low rpm?
