Agreed. Gradual climate change does happen. Sudden climate change rarely does not. Do you know how much energy it takes to warm that much water only half a degree C? That's a lot of extra energy that's being trapped on our planet, and if we ignore it, it will only increase more quickly. That is, simply put, bad.

And really, it *doesnt* matter.

Cavemen lived in the ice ages without modern equipment, we can live in a warmer climate w/ our modern equipment, or colder for that matter.

It's really a moot point, not to mention, unproven to be influenced in any major manner by humans.
My favorite part is that your arguement is based on not reading the article I posted, then suggesting you know more than well educated men who have studied fluid dynamics and environmental conditions for most of their professional lives. Please, RTFA

Beyond that, human living conditions were MUCH different then. Population density and resource scarcity was also significantly different, as well as standards of living, life expectancy, and resource usage. Being warmer isn't too bad, until you consider how it will affect rain fall, humidity, vegetation coverage, oceanic behavior, disease transmission, energy costs to cool down, etc etc. The list goes on. Failing to ingore all the effects is like turning a blind eye to reality, and the problem is that your indifference will affect me and everyone else...
