when i turn it all the way on it just comes out slowly... if it slowly turn it on, it will start to increase, but then half way up it'll make a "clunk" sound and then just start trickling again. any ideas?

this is the kinda faucet that just has one lever.. up to turn it on, left for cold water, right for hot water
