Well, check the valves when the engine is cold. Not like, in the morning cold, but 70 degrees cold. Make sure they are not out of spec. I noticed a large increase in power when I fixed mine, it pulled better over 5k.

Knowing how I drive, taking a corner in 2nd gear fast is right around the 4400 rpm vtec engagement point. Are you sure the cams are engageing?

Its the 2ndaryies that are opening up at 5800 that your feeling btw, secondary intake runners. The vtec cams change over at 4400 but you don't really feel a power increase at that point.

When it bogs does it feel like it cant get out of its own way, and then when 5800 hits its like it cant go fast enough? -Mine felt this way when the cams were not engaging.
