Last time I really watched Speed Racer was when I was a little kid.

I rented the Speed Racer DVD... my beloved childhood cartoon.... has sucky art, sucky animation, sucky story, sucky tech, sucky dialog, etc. Maybe it's better if I revel in the memories instead.

Anyways, now that I actually know about cars, clearly the Mach5 wasn't even trying for reality.

- 30,000 rpm redline and a bazillion HP engine
- built in hydraulic lifts that cause the car to JUMP
- a suspension that can handle those 40 foot in the air jumps
- tires that somehow can dynamically be wrapped in a "super grip tread"
- 2 huge saw blades that somehow can retract into the engine bay
- a water tight cabin
- a periscope
- a roboting flying homing pidgen with web cam
- super viewing HIDs
- ability to out corner most other cars even with all the accessories weight
