Yeah they were a lot more funky and bluesy before they got big. I find it funny how simplistic the music is yet how great it sounds....Sting never really played more than the usual three chord bass line progression, keyboards were stripped down and simple progressions and the drumming isn't much more advanced than the rest were......yet somehow it turns out to be truly great music.
