1) shocks are blown, your hearing the bottoming out
2) swaybar endlinks are not secure
3) some other component attached to the LCA is loose.
i just wanted to give an update for anyone who may be experiencing similar problems. none of the things that LT6916 suggested was the culprit. fortunately it was something easy. the self locking nut that is screwed onto the shock on the top was loose. i tightened it down to spec and now there is no more noise. also i noticed that the springs were the neuspeed sof sports, which as i understand have a drop of less than 1", so i guess that is another good thing to know. thanks for the suggestions though LT6916.
