I change my auto tranny fluid every other oil change. It only takes 2.5 quarts. It comes out to like $6 to change the tranny fluid. Not really a big deal. The biggest deal is putting the washer back on the bolt and making sure you get the bolt completely clean.

I don't recommend trickshift. Honda auto trannies don't take well to additives and different kinds of fluid. I'm sure the trickshift would just make it shift harder, but you can achieve that by just using cheap dexron 3. Stick with the honda atf fluid. The honda fluid has a special additive for honda trannies. If you don't use honda fluid, you are supposed to add lube guard as an additive to make up for it.
