Agreed, I had the transmission replaced on my 99 EX V6 after like 55K. Funny thing about was after having the car looked at for the transmission problem the tech said to chnage the fluid (drain, fill, drive, repeat 3 times).
When the transmission was dead they said I voided my warranty by replacing the fluid myself. When I showed them the receipt for the fluids and told them the tech ensured me this would help they realized they were caught. All maintenance was done by Honda with the exception of this routine protective measure.
All in all I have a new transmission with 10K on it that still doesn't feel strong.
Never again will I buy an automatic Honda.
