Make sure you get a set of flare nut wrenches or you're gonna round off that square nut right off. Whoever said to change the fuel filter every 2 years is nuts... I went 114,000 miles and 9 years and the filter was still fine.
You need to remove the bracket from the firewall and slightly bend it towards the engine. Get a 19mm wrench on the filter base and use the 14mm flare nut wrench on the flare nut. Make sure you pull the flare nut wrench towards the drivers side. I kept on cranking on it the other direction and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't come off.

If you can't get enough leverage on the flare nut wrench.... get some pipe that would fit over the wrench from home depot and use that for leverage. Also
DO NOT forget to use the washers on the fuel line. I totally forgot to use the bottom washer and when I started up the car it was spraying fuel all over the place!!!!

Also the bracket that wraps around the fuel filter will be a bitch to take off... I used a 10mm impact socket on it and it flew off.
Good luck!
