If you have your own webserver with PHP/SQL installed, you can go with any number of things like MovableType, WordPress, bBlog (what I use), all sorts of things.

If you want a much easier point and click setup and have it be hosted kind of thing, go with TyepPad or Blogger.

Blogger's prolly the easiest.
