Doing the labor yourself is always the best way. Amp is simple enough, run cable from battery through firewall, to amp and then ground. run rca cables from back of radio that say subwoofer on them to the amp to the sub. And the radio, the wires of new radios come labeled so cutting and joining cables is a piece of cake, and if you want it even easier, just buy a wire harness to match car make with radio make, and it's simple plug n play. No way worth paying the high cost for shop to install. DIY is always the best way to go. Spend the labor money on something else for the car instead.
