Temp Gauge Question
I've had my '95 GSR for about a month now.
Since I have had the car the temperature gauge has been about halfway between cold and the middle. I figured this was normal because my previous car (truck actually) never got that warm. One time while I was in traffic I saw the temp gauge swung to the center and I got a little worried but as soon as I got moving it went back down and I thought nothing of it. Just today I noticed that the temp gauge was creeping back toward center and decided that it was time to see if that is normal or not. I logged onto HAN and found out that it may not be my car that is overheating, rather it is not getting hot enough.
From what I have found in my searches, my thermostat needs to be changed.
That would probably also explain my low gas mileage (under 20 MPG all city, but still kind of low).
So from all this rambling I am wondering what the normal position of the temp needle is?
If mine isn't in the right place then if my assumption my thermostat needs to be replaced. Correct me if I'm wrong.
