Default car

yea, sorry about that - i forgot to mention what kind of car i have.

I have a 1994 Accord LX Sedan.

I took a look at the dashboard/tail light problem more closely. I think it has to do with the circuitry on the dashboard or maybe the column switch itself. Turning the light switch on at certain times will light up my dashboard, steering column, and tail lights but othertimes all those lights will stay off.

My mechanic said it would take a couple of hours to fix (aka few hundred bucks). Would it be better to buy a replacement column switch and install it instead of hunting for the loose connection in my steering column or dashboard?

Thanks.
